A Nebraska state senator who is “fed up with the threats, tired of natural disasters” has now filed a lawsuit against God.  State Senator Ernie Chambers has also accused God of terroristic threats against himself and the constituents whom he serves.  He believes his lawsuit is appropriate and that it addresses very serious issues such as God causing “widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants.”  Chambers is also requesting a permanent injunction against God.

Ask for BoldnessMany people doubt the existence of God no matter how much evidence there is.  Chambers is a self-proclaimed agnostic and by definition, an agnostic is someone “who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god”. My only question is, why would he sue someone who he isn’t convinced exists?

The apostle Paul met a group of people who worshipped a god, they did not know.  They were intelligent and articulate philosophers of their day, yet they worshipped without wisdom and knowledge that they so keenly possessed.  Paul declared that he came to explain this previously Unknown God.  As a result, many questioned what he said while many became believers.  Do you believe that God exist?  Will it take a lawsuit to make the Unknown God known to you?
