Harvey told of talking with a woman about baptism. He had her turn to Mark 16:16 and asked her to read the verse to him.
She read it this way: “He that believeth and is saved shall be baptized, but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
“Read that again” he said.
Again she read it the same way.
“Read it again” he prompted.
Again, she read it that way.
About the 10th time he asked her to reread the verse she read: “’He that believeth and…’ Oh, now I get it!” Then she finally read it correctly: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” And that night she was baptized into Christ.
