Before we can keep His commandments, first we have to know the will of God.
And most Christians want to know what God has in store for us, don’t we?
I’ve got people always coming up to me and asking me, “How can I hear the voice of God?”
In Romans 12:2 – “But be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
I have thought and prayed about these verses for a long time.
And there are several ways to know the will of God.
First, the Bible talks about the “Absolute Will of God.”
Things like salvation found in 1 Tim. 2:4 & 2 Peter 3:9.
And this always comes to pass without fail because it’s His will….
Second, it’s His will revealed in the Bible!
If you think about it, God’s will is so straight- forward and simple: do not murder, steal, covet and etc.
But in the verse, there is something that we sometimes overlook.
In verse 2, “that you may prove which is good.”
Do you know that the will of God is always good?
It may not be fun or may not feel right but it’s always for the purpose of “Good.”
In fact, some of us have wondered, why would God ever allow sufferings to come into our life?
I mean sufferings aren’t good, right? And it doesn’t feel good, either
But God can cause all things to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
You see that’s the promise that He gives to us is good and His Grace is sufficient for us! (2 Cor. 12:9)
