Topic: What place would you prefer to live in?

By: Thippawan Tungsawat

Type: Argumentative essay

Everyone has different dreams when it comes to where they wish to live. Some people think that living in a small town is desirable, while others choose city life. As for me, I would prefer to live in a city like Jesus was born in Nazareth, Galilee which is the largest city in Northern District of Israel. I will enumerate in the following paragraphs.

To begin with, cities offer a great environment for education. Urban areas have various parks and recreation centers which encourage people to lead vital and healthy lives, and they also have well-funded community centers which contribute to the intellectual development of people, especially young people. Cities give a chance to many people who can challenge by themselves but “‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ Jesus said”. (Matthew 4:7)

Secondly, I believe that large cities offer cultural experiences that adults can enjoy and appreciate. Most large cities have a plenty of museums, ethnic restaurants, libraries, theater groups and other encouraging and cosmopolitan facilities. For instance, I go to a different museum once a month. My friends and I spend every weekend evening visiting a new ethnic restaurant for dinner. We have enjoyed food a different national cuisine because “it is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the moth of God.’ Jesus said”. (Matthew 4:4) There is the sort of outings that are only possible in a large urban area. Small towns offer easy to beautiful natural vistas, but I prefer the intellectual and cultural stimulation that the large city offer.

Considering the reasons mentioned above, I am of the opinion that living in a large city is preferable to living in a small town. This is because cities are a better environment to study, they offer stimulating intellectual and cultural experience that adults can enjoy.

Topic: Which place would you prefer to live in between a big city and a small town?

Everyone has different dreams when it comes to where they wish to live. Some people think that living in a small town is desirable, while others choose city life. As for me, I would prefer to live in a city like Jesus was born in Nazareth, Galilee which is the largest city in Northern District of Israel. I feel this way for three reasons,I will enumerate in the following paragraphs.

Firstly, cities offer a great environment for education. Urban areas have various parks and recreation centers which encourage people to lead vital and healthy lives, and they also have well-funded community centers which contribute to the intellectual development of people, especially young people. Finally, living in a big city is not only about convenience for learning but also about getting a great opportunity to meet foreign people. Foreign people have culture, identity, and mind different from mine. Because of this fact, I have discovered and learned many things from my foreign friends, for instance, their customs, traditions, home cuisines, and a lot more. There is the sort of outings that are only possible in a large urban area. Small towns offer easy to beautiful natural vistas, but I prefer the intellectual and cultural stimulation that the city offer.

Considering the reasons mentioned above, I am of the opinion that living in a large city is preferable to living in a small town.
