Wake up early in the morning. I’ve always been a morning person, though in the past that meant I waking up at 7.00a.m. Unfortunately, there are none that I know of, but I like to get some fresh air. Sometime I awake at 4 or 5 in the morning and just cannot sleep. I seem to be nervous or think something about the upcoming day. That has always seemed to by my nature. I just guest that God is sometime up to something in those early hours. Sometime he actually has something to say. The gospel writers mention that more than one occasion. It is also amazing how many time the phrase “early in the morning” appears in the Bible. Jesus woke up early to pray (mark 1:35, Luke 4:42). I believe Jesus woke up early for a reason. I believe scripture was intentional when it spoke on Jesus waking up to be by himself. There is a spiritual undercurrent in this activity, signifying that waking up early has more benefit than just getting work done. I was determined to find what these benefit were.

When you wake up early, your thoughts are less cluttered when people rush to work, their thoughts are typically everywhere. They can’t seem to gather them together, and they often miss things. Sometime important things. For example, I had to go meeting in the morning, but I wake up late then everything I prepare from last night was went away because I had rush and make me forgot. In the Bible, we are told to renew our thinking and set our mind on things.

When you wake up early, you can do whatever you want.I give myself the nourishment I need with time to relax and not to pressured to complete work. For another think, I can withdraw from the noise. Our schedules, cell phone notifications, social media, etc are constantly our attention. We can not deny because we live in a noisy culture. This is why it’s important to have a time in the morning where we are separate from the noise. As mark said  “it is through the process of withdrawal that the leader discovers that myths and illusions from which he is apart. The leader gains critical distance”

Have a plan, do not wake up without a plan. It you do, you will go back to sleep. Check out your simple schedule or pick your target time for waking up early and start small and then go big. I am successful of the time. The word “early” in the Bible almost always refers to the “dawn” of the day. Wisdom says that those who seek her at the dawn will find her. I encourage you to try this out for a while. Give it a month of two, don’t give up if it doesn’t work a couple of days or you sleep in a couple of time. Just get back on the plan and go for it.

Whether you decide to do it or not is up to you. The thing about waking up early; it’s not easy, especially if you’re a night owl, but if you want to experience these spiritual benefits, and discover for yourself why Jesus found early morning to be so valuable. I want to challenge you to at least try it. Try waking up early before the sun rises you will get more spiritual benefit than that you think.

In the Bible, we are told to renew our thinking and set our mind on things above, but how can we do this when our thoughts are cluttered with what we have to do for the day?

When I wake up early don’t sush, my thought is more together and less cluttered. I allow myself the freedom to think more on the things that truly-matter sush as aspects of our character and how God is moving our lives.

When you wake up early, you can do whatever you want. No person is completely selfless. They are feeding their self. We need a healthy balance of yselflessness and self-care.

I strike this balance by waking up early. I give myself the nourishment I need with time to relax and not to pressured to complete work. For another think, I can withdraw from the noise.
