Final Draft : What did I learn from the class.

From the beginning, the class of western civilization, we focus on the western civilization starting from the Genesis and revealation How the World Will End from the Bible, I’m not a Christian. In this class, I learn how the human was born on earth from the Bible and in the western civilization class. God created everything in six days. God separated between light and the dark, and Water and Land. The God created Adam and Eve. The God also gave the garden of eden as well. But the penalty of death is they can’t eat fruit from the knowledge of good and evil. Both of them are innocent, until Eve was tempted by the evil serpent to eat the forbidden fruits. They both got the punishment from God, for the woman, pain in childbirth and subordination to man and, for the man, relegation to an accursed ground with which he must toil and sweat for his subsistence. That’s the part of the genesis that I learn about in the class. It has more specific details about Genesis but this is the main idea that I would like to point out. And also the end of the world or the revealation in the Bible that I learn recently. Further more, a brief of history that I watched in the classed. I had the opportunity to mentioned about the flood from the history. I disagreed from the history that it had flood all around the world. Even though, they point out about the root from the tree. It was only specific area. It had so many things that I could against on the flood theory. But it’s really interesting topic that they mentioned about it. In addition, I started learning about the history of Mesopotamia. It has quite a lot of details that I’m going to study about it. I only heard about what they said about Mesopotamia. I did not know that the Mesopotamia was the one who created about many things such as, math, sanitizer, and etc. The Mesopotamia was referring to the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, but the region can be broadly defined including the area that is now eastern Syria, Turkey, and Iraq. The region was the centre of a culture whose influence extended throughout the Middle East. It was amazing to me. and as far as the Indus valley, Egypt, and the Mediterranean. I just realize that the Egypt took some of theory from the Mesopotamia to adapt using in Egypt as well. I can’t wait to study further. I’m looking forward to learning about it in the class.

Hi Pardol,
I think that you did a really good job summarizing what we learned in the class but I think you can elaborate a little more on how you are not a Christian but are interested in the stories included in the bible . We learned many things about history in our western civilization class. Although it is hard for us to understand the ancient culture of different countries, it is also very interesting. After reading your writing, I noticed that we both have the same perspective on this class and I want to learn more in this class too.
